It’s pretty nice! It has cruise control and about nothing else. Rusty wheels and underside, musty interior from a window leak, and gross-looking tail lights... Somehow. But otherwise, I like it so far!
My only immediate plan is to replace that boomerific magnet with an IMSA decal on the window, then later I'll get new wheels and lights at the very least. Hopefully I'll also be able to get it lowered without wrecking it the week before this time.

Nice looking truck - congrats ! It should give you a pretty solid foundation to do some cool stuff to it, not to mention being pretty handy when you need to move something. The taillights should be fairly available in a junkyard. Lots of options on Amazon/eBay, of course.
Does it at least have A/C? I know your grandparents probably didn’t need it up north, but you sure will. :)

side pipes !!! make a lil red pickup but the chevy version.
i think in my 18 yrs of drive i’ve only used cruse control once.

Very nice! I would like to pick up one of these eventually . I just need something to make the typical homeowner jobs a little easier . One just like yours would be ideal.
My dad has a 2005 Z-71 that he bought slightly used in 2007. It has been a pretty good truck. He’s only had a few small problems to take care of.

After I got a ticket for 10 over when I just wasn't watching my speed, I've used cruise control on every major trip I've taken. Just set it at one or two over the limit.

A coworker of mine has one of those, not sure what year. It had a lot of weird problems when he first got it (timing chain, ignition didn’t read the key chip reliability) but after getting those sorted it’s been very reliable.

If I was going to get tires as well, I'd do red with white walls. But since it's stuck with normal tires for a long time, I think white would look better.
